Androgenetic Alopecia is one of the leading factors of hair loss in women and accounts for 80% of hair loss causes in women. This type of hair loss is often referred to as female pattern baldness. Genetics play a role in Androgenetic Alopecia and by the time menopause occurs 40% of women will experience some hair loss or thinning hair.
